19. How to import users to the correct organizational unit

You can import users directly to an intended organizational unit by using Excel and the Import users functionality.
If you write only the name of the organizational unit, Trainingportal will search the organizational structure for a unit by that name, and place the user in this unit. You should not write the entire path of the unit.
If several organizational units have got the same name, Trainingportal will add a user to the first instance found. When importing many users to identically named organizational units, you may want to split up the process and import users to the different units separately. To do so, click the Organizational unit button on the Users tab. Then click the Import users button. All the accounts will be imported to the unit you selected.
Some examples of importing to an organizational unit:
