You can use several different question types in the survey.
Multiple choice
Settings
- Mandatory question: If you select a question to be mandatory, it is required that the question must be answered before the survey is completed.
- Number of allowed answers: You can select between multiple answers allowed, or only one answer allowed.
Question and alternatives
- You must have at least two alternatives.
- To add more alternatives, click on the button "Add alternative "
- The button "Preview" shows you the question as it will appear in the survey.
Free text
Settings and Questions
- Mandatory question: If you choose a question to be mandatory, it is required that the question must be answered before the survey is completed.
- This question type consists of only one question.
- The button "Preview" shows you the question as it will appear in the survey.
Rating scale
This question type is also called a "Likert scale".
Settings
- Mandatory question: If you choose a question to be mandatory, it is required that the question must be answered before the survey is completed.
- Define grading scale: Select whether to use a scale based on numbers or text. If you select "Text", you can freely define your own scale.
- Number of columns: Select the range of your scale. You can select up to ten columns.
Examples of grading scales:
- A grading scale based on agreement can have this range: Completely disagree, Disagree, Somewhat disagree, Neither agree nor disagree, Somewhat agree, Agree, Completely agree
- A grading scale based on frequency can have this range: Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Often, Always
- A grading scale based on importance can have this range: Not at all important, Slightly important, Moderately important, Very important, Extremely important
Introduction and questions/ statements
- It is optional if you want to add an introduction.
- You must have at least one row of questions/ statements, and the scale must consist of at least two elements.
- To add more rows of questions/ statements, click on the button "Add Row".
- To add more alternatives in the scale, select a higher number in the setting "Number of columns" at the top of the page.
- The button "Preview" shows you the question as it will appear in the survey.
