04. About a Survey

When you go to a survey, you can see that it has three tabs:

Details

From this tab you can:

  • send the survey on e-mail to selected users registered at Trainingportal. Read about this here.
  • copy a survey to use it as a template to create a new survey.
  • delete the survey.
  • delete all answers to the survey.
  • edit settings.
    • Participation: Anonymous or not-anonymous
    • Status:
      • Draft: Create the survey. You must remove the survey from all courses, and delete all responses, in order to change the status to draft.
      • Published: The users can respond to the survey. It is not possible to add new questions, but you can edit the text in existing questions.
      • Withdrawn: The survey will no longer be available for the users.
  • see who edited the survey last, and when.
  • see which courses the survey is used in.

Content

When a survey has the status "Draft", you can add questions. Read about the question types here

To find out how the survey will look you may use the Preview-button in the left corner :

On the right side of each question, you can see a row of buttons. Click the buttons to perform actions such as:

  • edit. You have permissions to edit based on the status for the survey. See the heading "Details" above for more details about the different statuses.
  • copy. You can copy the whole question to use it as a template for a new one.
  • delete.Deletes the question.
  • change order of the questions. Click the buttons "Move up" or "Move down".

Results

Click the tab "Results" to see the result from the survey. You can see both statistics and individual answers from the respondents.
