Technical Checklist
- A course must be developed to conform to one of these standards:
- SCORM 1.2
- SCORM 2004
- AICC
- Trainingportal supports all required elements of SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, but all optional elements are not supported. To ensure a course works as intended, use only required elements.
- Trainingportal is case sensitiv. Files and file references must correlate.
- A course must be packaged in a .ZIP file that does not exceed 500MB in size. Larger courses must be split into several .ZIP files.
Testing and publishing
- We recommend that portal owners provide course vendors with a student account to access the new course in Trainingportal so that vendors can test how the course functions in the system.
- Trainingportal will perform a standards conformance test when a course is uploaded. Hence, the best way to test a course is simply to try to upload it to the system.
- If a portal owner is unable to provide vendor access to their system, the following tools can be used to test conformance:
- ADL Test Suite
- SCORM Reload Player
- If you experience problems running external courses on Trainingportal, please contact Trainingportal Support. Please also attach a test log from at least one of the tools mentioned above. Please note that Trainingportal will need to bill your company for any time spend testing, customizing or implementing external courses.
