Are you having problems converting a Powerpoint file to an e-learning course? Here are some suggestions that may help. All of them assume that you've allready opened the file in Powerpoint.
- Does your Powerpoint file have a long filename, or a filename with special characters in it? Try to shorten the filename and remove any special characters.
- Click File and look at Related documents in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Can you see an option called Edit links to files? Click this option, select all the listed links and click Break link.
- Click File and then Inspect document. Inspect the document for problems and compatibility, and remove any hidden properties.
- Have you used any templates or other PowerPoint-features? If so, try to remove them.
- Does the file contain many slides? The e-learning tool supports a maximum of 30 slides in any one Powerpoint file. Consider splitting the file into several smaller ones, converting them separately and then putting them together in a single course package.
- If none of the suggestions above helped you resolve the issue, you'll have to remove some slides from the PowerPoint file then try to import it again. Rinse and repeat untill you manage to import the file.
