03. Add competence or course

Add competence

You can add a competence requirement to an existing competence group or role from the Requirements tab.

  1. Click Add competence from catalogue.
  2. Select the competence items you want to add as requirements and click Save.

Normally it is required to fulfil all the requirements in the competence group or role to get it approved, but it is possible to define competence group and or competencies that are not mandatory. Read more about this here.

Add new competence

You can also create a new competence type and add it as a requirement at the same time.

  1. Click Add new competence.
  2. Fill in the form:
  3. Under Competence Type select the competence type you wish to create. You can choose between Competence, Competence group, Role and Checklist.

Add a course as a competence requirement

You can also add a course as a competence requirement.

  1. Click Add course.
  2. If you want to add a course that has not been published, you can tick Include withdrawn and draft courses too.
  3. Select the courses you want to add as requirements for the competence item and click Save.
  4. If there the competence type you are working on already have users associated with it, you will be asked if you want to enrol these users on the course(s) you are adding as requirements.
